No, at Tasker we are focused on providing insurance products and services to the UK and Irish SME commercial sector and select personal lines clients, where we can add value. We are looking to do this on a National scale, right across the geographies that we cover and to do this we will have to grow, which will include making acquisitions. But our purpose, of building a business to service clients where we can add value, is not the same as that of a consolidator.
Tasker is the surname of one of the founder shareholders of our business. It all started in 1999 and in the beginning the business was focused on being a Lloyd’s broker, since then we have successfully grown to become a diverse insurance intermediary business, still providing Lloyd’s broking services through Tasker & Partners, the business now also includes a Managing General Agent, Gresham Underwriting, and a Retail Broking Business, Tasker Insurance Broking.
Yes, we are very proud to be independent as this allows us to choose from the whole of the market when recommending insurance solutions for our clients, which we know they value and which we also appreciate is not the case for many of our competitors.
Well, size can be measured on many levels. We look after thousands of clients, hundreds of brokers across the UK and Ireland look to us to provide support for their more complex clients, we have less than 100 staff, we operate from three key locations across the UK and we have one clear focus, which is to provide the best environment we can for our people so they can provide excellent service and support to our clients, because doing that well is what it is all about.
In 5 years’ time we will be recognised in the communities we serve, adding value though the provision of risk management and insurance solutions to the UK and Irish SME commercial sector and select personal lines clients, utilising technology to improve the client experience where ever possible.
